Ushers

Greeters and Ushers are often the first people visitors and parishioners encounter when attending Mass, creating a welcoming, orderly, and spiritually supportive environment during worship services.  They warmly welcome attendees, make eye contact, smile and greet people by name when known.  Their role is to make everyone feel valued and comfortable, reflecting the church’s hospitality and mission.

Ushers assist attendees in finding seats, especially during heavily-attended Masses. They ensure smooth entry and exit from the church, prevent bottlenecks and accommodate special needs such as wheelchairs or people with disabilities.

They also help with parking to maximize the capacity of the church parking lot, and facilitate the collection of offerings and distribute bulletins to attendees at each Mass, as well as answering questions and providing direction to restrooms or other locations within the church building.
