Sunday Mass Schedule Change

Dear Friends,

I know the general rule is that a new pastor should not make changes right away in the parish, but I think this one is a bit different. Effective Sunday March 8 the 11am Mass at St. John the Evangelist will be changing to 11:30am.

It has been brought to my attention that the parking lot is still filled with many cars following the 9:30am Mass. This is can be a hazard and challenging situation for people attending the 11:00am Mass. The change in the Mass time to 11:30am will give more time for the parking lot to clear before the next Mass. In addition, we are planning to start regular coffee/and gatherings in the Fr. Filip Hall after the 9:30am Mass in March. The extra time will allow us to have these gatherings as well. The rest of the Sunday Mass schedule will remain the same.
